So there's this woman. She's gorgeous and funny, quirky and moody. She'll give of herself until there's nothing left then apologize for any self imagined deficit. She listens, ya'll, like a good friend should. And when she talks, she does it with this amazing accent, so there's that. She says funny phrases such as "reverse out of the car park", "jumper"(sweater) and "rubbish bin" (trash can). She loves breakfast as much as I do, and never judges me for wearing yoga pants when we hang out.
She has an amazing and snarky way with words that captivates any audience, and she writes the way she speaks. With grace, flow, and enough snark and sexiness to keep you enthralled.

So. The point of this is that this lady decided to release a book this summer, and it wasn't just "ok". It wasn't just "good enough" for a debut. It thrilled my heart and gave me all the little "squees!"with it's touching romance cut with enough laughter and snark to keep things just light enough.

This book hit me hard, in a time when I was at my most vulnerable. Oh it's snarky and sexy in true Cranford style. It's something so much more though. It's the story of a woman who could be me. Who could be you. Someone who puts on the front of strength, but doesn't feel it inside where it counts, where she needs it. That smile when you're wilting inside, that confidence, when deep down you just want to hide away and shun the world.
It was everything I needed, to make me feel less alone in the world and still give me the entertainment and escape I craved.
